Qualifications and Company History

1979-Dean Yaukey began operating as "Phantom Music" performing at local schools, nightclubs, and private parties.   The signature Phantom black Cadillac hearse is still requested by schools to this date for Halloween dances.

1981-Donovan Yaukey began performing as a drummer, singer, and trumpeter with a local working band named "The Main Event."  The band entertained every Friday and Saturday at local Country Clubs, Veterans Clubs, Weddings, and Private Parties. 

May 15,1985 Phantom Shadow Entertainment performed the first event at Waynesboro Middle School for their yearly formal dance at the price of $100.   At this time, Blue Jeans Disc Jockey and Light Show was a local favorite with 3 systems.    Blue Jeans was charging $200/Night at the time which was an inspiration for Donovan to set his goals.

1987 through 1994-Business grew fast enough that we needed to multiply and leverage our abilities.  We quickly went from 3 systems to a total of 20 systems between Phantom, Phantom Shadow, and The Old Phantom.   We were clearly the fastest growing entertainment company in the area.

1994-Phantom Shadow Entertainment was voted "Reader's Choice-Best DJ Show" by Public Opinion newspaper.  By 1994, our companies were entertaining at over 2000 events yearly.

1995-Phantom Shadow Entertainment was runner-up in "Reader's Choice-Best BAND" by Public Opinion newspaper.   And we aren't even a band! (The DJ Show category had been discontinued)

1990-Present- Phantom Shadow DJ Entertainers attend national DJ convention in Atlantic City.  This convention has been attended by thousands of serious disc jockeys from across the country. These conventions allows us to stay on the cutting-edge of equipment, performance, and professionalism.   This investment ensures our clients of getting first class top notch service.

1990-Phantom Shadow Entertainment adds Music Video Show with 12' Video Screens.

1993-Present Phantom Shadow Entertainment adds Limousine Services

1994-Phantom Shadow purchases the first inflatable attraction, The Bounce N' Box.

1994-2003- Phantom Shadow Inflatable Attractions equipment list grows from 1 unit to over 20 units.

1994-1998 Phantom Shadow Entertainment offered Videography Services.  By 1998, we realized that videography was not our specialty and chose to cut our losses and recommend local Videographers that we felt would do a respectable job.

1994-2002- Phantom Shadow Entertainment, Phantom, and the Old Phantom provide entertainment at over 2500 events per year.

1999-Phantom Shadow adds The Game Show Mania Service.

1999-Phantom Shadow Entertains for Lea Thompson's and Michael Hall's parties for their going away parties from Cabaret on broadway.

2000-Phantom Shadow Limousines purchases new limousines for its fleet.

2002-Phantom Shadow adds The New Game Show Mania Service

2003-Phantom Shadow Entertainment contracts with Bob Barry, Nationally known wedding business consultant to take the business to the next level.

     Phantom Shadow Entertainment was the trusted service chosen to entertain for the largest youth gathering in the United States.  There was 50,000 youth in attendance at this national convention in Atlanta, Georgia.  Thirty-six Phantom Shadow Team Members produced this huge event.  This event  included 96 parties at 12 different locations including Disc Jockeys, Karaoke, Karao-deo, and 16 different inflatable attractions.

    Phantom Shadow Entertainment  continued to strive to provide excellent service and stay on the cutting-edge of entertainment focusing on the needs of your special event.   Although insurance has continued to become more expensive, This was another amazing year.

2004- Another Record Breaking Year at Phantom Shadow Entertainment.   With advanced marketing efforts and continually providing excellent entertainment value, we have once again enjoyed amazing growth and stability in the industry. 

2005-  New attractions included  Tiki Island Rock Wall, Ultra Ball-Extreme Volley Ball, The Defender Dome, Gone Fishn' Shark Super Slide, Scooby Doo 5-in-1 Combo, Sea Playground, Temporary Tattoos, Monkey Motion Extreme Air Quad Pods, Monkey Bounce, Bathtub Racers, and many exciting novelty attractions.   It has been another record breaking year at Phantom Shadow!

2005 Small Business of the Year Award - Shippensburg Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet & Ceremony.    The Mechanical Bull was featured on The Tony Danza Show in New York City twice.   Sumo Wrestling with Jerry O'Connell and Tony Danza appeared on Friday May 13,2005.   On June 1,2005, Disc Jockeys Donovan and Ordean entertained at the Tony Danza Season 2 wrap-up party in New York City. 

2005 was simply another amazing year.   Phantom Shadow Entertainment, Limousines, Interactive Attractions, and Casino Party Division continue to grow and produce fantastic events.   Our staff is wonderful and accommodating.    We are truly blessed with "good people" and also blessed with great clients!

2006 is going to be another record-breaking fantastic year of entertainment.   We are streamlined our disc jockey operations, purchased a new 14 passenger limousine to add to our fleet,  expanded our casino productions, and dramatically increased our inflatable entertainment division.  We are committed to producing the highest quality entertainment in the area featuring cutting-edge choices and packages.   We've introduced new theme packages including "The Medieval Theme, The New Age Theme featuring our Oxygen Bar and New Age Relaxation Lounge with 3 Neox Professional Massage Chairs."   These packages will be great for corporate, school, college, and church events.

2006 Limousine Services-We've added a brand new 2006 Lincoln Town Car Executive L (6 inch) stretch to our fleet to accommodate our clients who do not prefer to utilize a stretch limousine.   For our limousine customers, we have added a "The Tuxedo" Tandem Axle 14 Passenger Super, Super Stretch Limousine to our fleet.

January 2006 - Be sure to watch the new season of American Idol in January 2006.   You may see a few Phantom Shadow Staff members at the Boston Audition. You may see a familiar Phantom Shadow CEO performing  as a "river dancer" in Boston.

 Congratulations to KATRINA YAUKEY for singing on national television for Simon, Paula, and Randy at the Chicago Auditions..  Although American Idol chose to edit her performance,  we are extremely proud of Katrina and her success on Broadway with Cabaret.  Katrina starred as the lead on Cabaret, on Broadway, over 30 times during her three years with the production.  Katrina also toured with the National Broadway Tour of Victor Victoria.
 

June 2006:  Congratulations to KATRINA YAUKEY  for landing another Broadway Show to open in September 2006.  See her in "Company" on broadway.

June 30,2006:  Along with the staff at Shippensburg Park and Recreation, we were able to raise $4516 for the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation.  The Foundation will help youth in our area.   We hope to make this an annual event.  Thank you to the community for supporting this cause.

July 2006 - Phantom Shadow Entertainment will be providing services at 96 Events for the Nation's Largest Youth Gathering.  A special thank you to the man upstairs for this awesome privilege to provide our Disc Jockey, Karaoke, and Interactive Attractions for this major event.

November 2006:  We added our newest 8 passenger super stretch limousine to our fleet of limousines.  In 2006, we sold our old limousines and updated with new limousines.

November 2006:  At IAAPA 2006in Atlanta, we purchased many new attractions to be available by Spring 2007 including:  BlackLight Casino, BlackLight Mini-Golf, The Circus Train, Extreme BMX Slide, Shooting Gallery Horse Rodeo, Large Backyard Movie Screen, Ocean Adventure, Rapid Fire, Knock Your Heads Off, Extreme T-Ball, BasSKEEball, The Sports Arena ( Inflated Arena with Dodgeball, Soccer, Volleyball, and Basketball), and the new amazing Kick X.

January 2007:  Featured  business in the Quad-State Journal.

January 2007:  Marlin Statler has joined our full-time staff at Phantom Shadow Entertainment.  Marlin will be in charge of Warehouse & Business Organization.   We have also hired Chris Morrow from the Morrow Group in Chambersburg as our new Accountant, Bookkeeper, and certified quick books professional advisor.   BCM Payroll in Chambersburg became the new payroll company for our business also.

June 29, 2007:  Raised $3300 for the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation Event at Shippensburg's Memorial Park and Pool.

2008

Kim Stouffer returns as our Business Administrator for the office.

Purchased Micro-Reality Race Track with Darrell Waltrip Winston Cup Race Car; Spectrum Sports Climb and Dangle Hard Rock Wall, 4-Way Tug and Pull, Another Twister, Boxing 5, Joust 5, More Sumo Equipment, and a Gyroscope.   We bought two companies this year, Grandstand Racing from Toms River, New Jersey  and Sons of Thunder Entertainment from Richfield Pa.   We have also added 4 commercial vehicles and 1 trailer to our fleet in 2008.
